LIST: Tri-State school districts that have closed, switched to remote learning

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Several Tri-State school districts are moving temporarily to remote learning as they deal with staffing issues as the omicron variant continues to spread in the area.

Students will not be in class on Jan. 17 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Ohio school districts:

  • Cincinnati Public Schools: Remote learning from Jan. 12-24
  • Fairfield City Schools: Jan. 14 - Jan. 18
  • Forest Hills School District: Remote learning on Jan. 18
  • Goshen Middle School and High School: Remote learning Jan. 13 & 14
  • Hamilton City School District: No school Jan. 12-17 (Jan. 14 was a previously scheduled day off). Remote learning from Jan. 18-21.
    • Hamilton High School is pausing all extra-curricular activities, including sports, from Jan. 14-23.
  • Kings Local School District: Closed Friday, Jan. 14
  • Lakota School District: Closed Friday, Jan. 14
  • Lebanon High School (only): Remote Jan. 13 - Jan. 21
  • Little Miami Schools: School buildings closed Jan. 12 - Jan. 14. These will be considered “calamity days” and there will be no remote learning or virtual learning.
    • Little Miami High School students will be in remote learning Jan. 18 - Jan. 20
    • Students in grades PK-8 will return to in-person learning on Jan. 18
  • Lockland Local Schools: Remote learning through Jan. 17
  • Loveland City Schools: Remote learning Jan. 13 and Jan. 14
  • Madison Local School District: Closed Jan. 14
  • Mason City Schools: Closed Jan. 14
  • Middletown City Schools: Closed through Jan. 18
  • Milford Exempted Village Schools: Closed Jan. 18
  • Monroe Local Schools: Closed Jan. 14
  • Mt. Healthy City Schools: Remote learning from Jan. 10-24
  • New Richmond Exempted Village School District: Remote learning from Jan. 11-18
  • North College Hill High School and Middle School: Remote learning through Jan. 14. Elementary school will remain in person.
  • Northwest Local School District: Closed Thursday, Jan. 13. Northwest online students and Butler Tech students who take classes on Butler Tech’s campus will still be expected to report to class on Thursday.
  • Reading Community City Schools: Remote learning from Jan. 12-17
  • Southwest Local School District: Closed Jan. 18 (no remote learning)
  • Springboro Schools: All schools closed Jan. 13-14 (no remote learning will take place)
  • Talawanda Middle School: Building closed Jan. 12, 13, and 14. Remote learning through Jan. 14.
  • Three Rivers Local School District: Remote learning Jan. 13 - Jan 18.
  • Wayne Local School District: Closed until Jan. 18
  • Winton Woods City Schools: Remote learning from Jan. 10-24

Kentucky school districts:

  • Bellevue Independent Schools: Virtual NTI learning through Jan. 21
  • Covington Independent Public Schools: Remote learning from Jan. 11-14
  • Dayton Independent Schools: Remote learning until Jan. 19
  • Gallatin County Schools: Schools are closed, no remote learning, from Jan. 10-14
  • Newport Independent School District: Remote learning from Jan. 7-14
